Michelle Munera is a Legal Assistant at the Wage Justice Center (WJC). She was born and raised in Los Angeles. She lived in the Bay Area for a couple of years to complete her B.A. in Political Economy (with an emphasis on Social Inequality in the U.S.) and a minor in Public Policy.

One of Michelle’s highlights in undergraduate school was serving as a JusticeCorps member at the Bay Area Legal Aid. There, she helped low-income community members assert their tenant rights in the Housing Clinic and assisted self-represented litigants in filing legal documents to their Superior Court in the Domestic Violence Restraining Order Clinic.

Michelle’s work at the WJC allows her to help workers in the construction industry reclaim their power as employees to recover their hard-earned wages. She plans to continue finding ways to uplift and give back to her community and pursue a J.D.
