Tania Millan is the Executive Director at the Wage Justice Center (WJC). She brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to social justice. With over a decade of dedicated service in the non-profit sector, Tania feels privileged to be leading the Wage Justice Center in its 17th year fighting for workers’ rights.

Her journey is deeply rooted in her lived experiences as an undocumented immigrant and the first college graduate in her family. These experiences fuel her passion for advocating for underrepresented communities. Tania's academic journey, from Pasadena City College to earning a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology with a focus on law and society and a minor in gerontology from California State University, Los Angeles, reflects her dedication to understanding and addressing societal inequalities.

Tania's community engagement began at a young age through volunteering and flourished during her tenure at the community-based organization, Instituto de Educación Popular del Sur de California (IDEPSCA), where she developed a profound connection to social and economic justice movements. During her tenure at Unemployed Workers United, a coalition of organizers creating solutions for workers, she further honed her skills in leveraging innovation, technology, and virtual platforms to empower frontline workers.

Inspired by her mother, a trailblazer in organizing the Pasadena Street Vendors, Tania recognizes the transformative power of grassroots movements. She is proud to lead the Wage Justice Center in its mission to combat wage theft and create a fairer workplace for all workers. Tania's leadership is driven by her unwavering belief that meaningful change begins with empowering individuals and communities.
