Daisy Lopez Cruz is the Human Resources Manager at the Wage Justice Center (WJC), where she helped build a dedicated team for the “Wages for Rent” project and supports the WJC’s mission by fostering an engaging and collaborative work environment.

Before joining the WJC, Daisy worked as an Administrative Assistant for Unemployed Workers United (UWU), an organization that empowers un- and under- employed workers to improve their working conditions through collective action. At UWU, she played a pivotal role in developing policies and processes that streamlined the operational functions of a virtual office comprised of a nationwide staff.

Joining the non-profit movement has motivated Daisy to stay active within the realm of creating positive social change and addressing human needs. Daisy is currently seeking to reinforce her knowledge of human resources through further education.

Daisy has a B.A. in Psychology from the University of California, Berkeley and previously served her community as a behavioral therapist for special needs children and as a social work at the Department of Children and Family Services.
